Another query that arose from this study was how the mood induction video in reality effected members. To answer this, the researchers performed two experiments. Participants were given a "Boredom" and a "Media Multitasking" video to observe. During the Boredom trial, individuals viewed a boring video, while in the course of the Media Multitasking trial, they watched a run of the mill video while simultaneously performing a tad bit more interesting task. The consequences are shown in Figure 7. The effects were a mixed bag. Although the mood induction video was valuable, the outcomes were not statistically big. On the other hand, the media multitasking trial was a success. Finally, the research found that the video's fanciful mentions was the main revealing. There was also a more practical, less nebulous way to investigate which of the media-multitasking conditions was the most effective. This was a small-scale study, so the results were a little skewed.
