This film highlights the intersection of same-sex families and white homonormativity. While it appeals to the universality of sexuality, it also invokes hegemonic racial hierarchy. "Normal" are sometimes disguised power and oppression. Gina GershonGina Gershon's role in Showgirls earned her countrywide concentration. She also gave the impression in a lesbian film, Bound, wherein she starred with Elizabeth Berkley. She also appeared in Face/Off, a comedy film with Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Later, Gershon had her own television series, Snoops, from the writer of Ally McBeal. Gina Gershon has had a few memorable roles, but not very many of them stick out in our memory. While her looks and sultry nature make her a phenomenal performer, her roles are inclined to come off as floor roles. She's mostly played damsels in distress, history characters, and sexy roles. She's starred in a few mediocre movies, but her acting skills have always made her a common star.
