Although it doesn't depict actual abuse, the main character Suzu deals with past trauma and her mother's death. The movie was created by Hayao Hosoda and obtained a status ovation during its greatest at the Cannes Film Festival. Since the movie has been so accepted, cosplayers and anime characters were created for the persona. This personality even performed at a Japanese rock festival, where she sang the movie's title song. Suzu has fond recollections of singing together with her mother. After the death of her mother, she comes to a decision to join a virtual playground where her avatar has freckles. Eventually, she is crowned the ideal character in the electronic world. The drama also explores the difficulty of virtual identities and the parallels between Beauty and the Beast. Mamoru Hosoda's 2021 filmThis film is another significantly acclaimed construction from the masters of Japanese animation, Mamoru Hosoda. It tells the story of half-wolf babies, a mother who has to look after them, and a boy named Kyuta, who gets pulled into a realm of monsters and demons. Suzu, a high school scholar who lost her mother at a tender age, becomes reclusive and unable to socialize, slowly losing the affection of items she once held dear.
