Despite the arguable topic, The Kids Are All Right is a fun and witty movie about real life lesbians. It stars Nicole Holofcener and Lisa Cholodenko, who're both usual for their roles in Woody Allen's outdated movies. The film's plot is easy but tense and full of great performances. The actors are all at the pinnacle of their game, adding Bening and Moore. Wasikowska, a baby actress who looks a lot like Annette Bening, has a herbal rapport with Ruffalo, while Hutcherson exudes Demi Moore's inner glow. While the film won't be as emotional as Juno, it's a fun, quirky family drama that's absolutely worth an eye. The film also comprises a teen lesbian couple. Joni, a half-sister to Josh Hutcherson, is raised by a lesbian couple. She is ready to depart for school when Laser convinces her to trace down her bio-Dad. This film highlights the intersection of same-sex households and white homonormativity. While it appeals to the universality of sexuality, it also invokes hegemonic racial hierarchy.
