Human porn appraisersPornography is illegal in China and the executive has taken a couple of measures to evade its spread. To this end, it employs both humans and artificial intelligence to identify pornography. But while AI has its limitations, the human eye can determine pornography faster. Plus, the human porn appraisers are regular people - not machines that make algorithmic errors. Researchers in Beijing Jiaotong University lately developed a tool that can instantly detect pornography. This wearable device can show an appraiser a giant variety of images and instantly log those containing porn. The device works by measuring spikes in brainwaves that occur when the viewer is exposed to specific content. The device also filters out indicators that are not associated with porn. As a result, there is a growing need for people to identify pornography and help keep the web safe. One organization is attempting to find a major porn appraiser to assist with this task.
