Shunga wood-block pictures are usually depicted with the figures fully clothed, but some shunga images show only in part-clothed subjects. This is because the figures depicted in these prints were often dressed in Western clothing and hairstyles. This change in apparel and hairstyles meant that shunga images were now not capable of compete with modern erotic photography. It was first posted in the course of the Edo period in 1814 and depicts a young woman having a sexual congress with two octopuses. This era was known for the quality of paper and colors used in shunga prints.
