Nikkatsu CorporationThe Nikkatsu Corporation is a mythical Japanese film studio. The agency has been making characteristic films intermittently since 1912. In the 1970s, Nikkatsu was in dire financial straits, as the popularity of tv drained its income from its characteristic films. This led the company to turn to erotic and salacious content. Nikkatsu branded this new cinematic genre as Roman Porno - a mix of the French word for novel with the English word for pornography.
