A recent example of this was the movie "Baise-moi," which contained practical scenes of sex and violence. This determination caused loads of controversy, as conservative institutions advised that the law that classified Baise-moi as an "adult" film could be modified to make it more appropriate for every age. In addition to pornographic films, a couple of other films have obtained an X-rated rating. These films have been marketed as "X-rated" and have been allotted by some filmmakers without any scores. Some of these films aren't masterpieces, but they're not at all unrated. In Australia, X18+ films aren't allowed to be bought, rented, or exhibited by people under the age of 18. These films and constituents may not be viewed in cinemas by anyone under the age of 18. Underage viewing of those films is a criminal offence, punishable by a maximum fine of $5,500. In america, the X rating was initially used to indicate adult fabric. It was finally changed by the NC-17 rating, but the adult industry co-opted the word with out the MPAA's permission, and it became synonymous with non-MPAA-rated pornography.
