Each year, a jury is formed to check which timepieces will obtain GPHG Awards. The Jury is led by historian and author Nick Foulkes, and is made from 30 members. The Jury also is expanding in 2020 to include a new initiative called the GPHG Academy. This Academy comprises 350 watch experts and industry professionals. The GPHG Awards ceremony is held in November every year. Winners are announced in each category. To qualify for the 2021 edition, an eye need to have been introduced in advertisement sales after May 2020, and it needs to be for sale by the tip of October 2021. The 2021 version of the awards is open to monitor businesses from far and wide the realm. Each company can submit a maximum of seven watches, one per category. The GPHG Award can serve as an important advertising and marketing tool for profitable agencies and is identified as a benchmark by watch lovers around the world. The GPHG 2021 Challenge Prize was provided to a watch under CHF 3,500.
