Bakshi interviews real people to add an extra layer of realism to the film. Instead of using actors to painting pornographers, he animates conversations among familiar people and characters. These interviews also add a large number of depth to the story. However, the film's episodic nature makes it easy to lose focus at times. The film's atmosphere is a squalid, New York house building. Its inhabitants are mostly homeless. The movie follows a young man, Fritz, who is trying in finding a job. His boss is an overworked bartender who works in the night shift. In his spare time, Fritz makes fun of himself by making people laugh. The movie also portrays the dating between a man and a lady. The visual presentation of Fritz is mixed, however the history art are stunning.
