Set in 1979, before the Internet made pornography ubiquitous, this film celebrates the genre's down-and-dirty amusement. The film follows three aspiring adult film stars as they embark on a road trip through Texas to shoot an X-rated movie. As they make their way through the geographical region, they become goals for a killer who seeks to make a 'breakout' film. Their trip becomes a bloody nightmare as they are ruthlessly murdered by the ruthless family of two of the ladies. The film is a remake of the 1974 film by Tobe Hooper and directed by Ti West. The film stars Jenna Ortega and Owen Campbell. Jenna Ortega plays Lorraine, the lady in the film. Owen Campbell, who plays the 'Director', resembles Hooper. The movie begins with an extended exposition of the film's plot before it hits its stride. It's a throwback to slashers of the 1970sPorno X, a new horror movie directed by Ti West, is a throwback to the slashers of the 1970s. The film is set in Houston in 1979, and revolves around a crew of actors.
