This is when the term started to become debatable. It became an insult in the nineteenth century when a set of sisters, known as the Barrison sisters, carried out adult shows wherein they strapped live cats around their waists. The term was later repurposed to check with female genitalia. The word "pussy" has become a lot more sexualized since then.
