The series has produced several video games, from a brief sidescrolling platformer to an epic full-length event game. The most effective title in the assortment is Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, published at first on Wii U and 3DS back in 2013. This installment of AVGN showcases every little thing that the show is known for: quirky humor, nostalgic references to traditional episodes of the show, and more. It's also totally exciting to play via as there are a lot of gimmicks that nod back to basic episodes as well as scatological humor akin to many contemporary AVGN episodes. Players have an interesting stability in issue levels, starting off easy and becoming increasingly difficult as they progress. While it might not be quite as extreme as previous titles have become, there are still loads of cheap deaths to get on your way. ASSimilation is a stronger version of its predecessor, increasing on the level design and adding more themed stages. Despite this higher complexity, ASSimilation is still a fun problem that's absolutely worth sorting out. Nerdy Video Game is an entertaining addition to the AVGN series that fans of the show will enjoy playing.
