Some victims are so abused that they become physically ill. Other sufferers are so weak that they aren't able to continue appearing. A recent lawsuit filed by 22 novice women named Jane Does alleges that they were abused by pornographers. The women are looking for $22 million in damages and need the videos removed from internet sites. The plaintiffs claim that the ladies were recruited for the pornography trade via Craigslist ads. Their ads were intended to recruit school-aged, preppy girls. They were also inspired to submit their photos and phone suggestions. The film "Hot Girls Wanted" files the lives of these women. This documentary doesn't condemn pornography itself, but it shows how exploitation of novice women occurs on the fringes of legality. It is directed by Rashida Jones, and is derived out on Netflix today. The documentary's lack of focus on women who appear to be okay with the rape culture that helps these films does little to address the wider issue of sexual abuse in society.
