The movie follows a tender man, Fritz, who is hunting for a job. His boss is an overworked bartender who works in the night shift. In his spare time, Fritz makes fun of himself by making people laugh. The movie also portrays the courting between a man and a woman. The visual presentation of Fritz is mixed, however the heritage art work are beautiful. Often in line with photographs, the backgrounds characteristic watercolors in vivid hues. In addition to this, there are many shots with distorted angle and uneven linework. The artist used the same Rapidograph pen as Crumb.
