These films are often depicted as violent, climactic affairs that are hard to monitor - from topless teenagers to trussed-up infantrymen in combat fatigues. But this is no usual sex movie, and it is important to understand more about it to get the entire image. Although Noboru Tanaka's story is a classic of Japanese pornography, there are some modifications between the different films. In the early 1980s, for instance, Y6j ir6 Takita directed the Molester Train films. In later decades, Daisuke Goto directed A Cow at Daybreak. Mitsuru Meike directed The Glamorous Life of Sachiko Hanai in 2004. The film is a rare gem. The Japanese edition is in Japanese, and it caused riots in the country. The movie went on to become the main commercially successful Japanese film in the silent era. Despite the film's mythical status, it's been in large part ignored by critics. Most writings on the film focus on Matsuda's work in the film.
