Chinese executive uses cyber web censorship to combat pornographyThe Chinese govt has stepped up its cyber web censorship campaigns as a way to combat pornography. It has instructed technology companies to restrict the supply of pornographic material on their web pages. In a recent declaration, the State Council Information Office urged the public to report pornographic Web sites and posts. The govt has also warned that it will crack down on websites that fail to conform to government rules. Internet censorship in China is not new. In fact, it's been in practice for the reason that late 1980s. Chinese censors have been concentrated on web pages containing pornography and other arguable content for many years. The COVID-19 pandemic has made web censorship even worse, and the government has stepped up its efforts to crack down on critics of the pandemic. As of December 2020, the govt has jailed 47 newshounds for opposing its censorship policy. In addition to reporters, normal electorate are also distinct, and can be arrested and incarcerated for expressing their evaluations on the web.
