In October 2013, Chinese specialists busted four transnational child porn internet sites and arrested more than 250 suspects. Over the next two months, they seized 180,000 online guides. In an effort to curb the proliferation of porn sites in China, the executive has concentrated its efforts on the biggest web houses. China's government is wary of losing control of the internet, particularly with so many electorate expressing their discontent online. It also fears that the Internet could develop into a harmful conduit for threatening ideas and images. While the executive has not yet described what pornography is, it says seven executive corporations are operating in combination to freshen up web tradition and give protection to the healthy advancement of minors. The govt is also expanding its reward for reporting porn. The reward for reporting porn content is now up to 600,000 yuan, more than double the present reward. Porn is unlawful in China in any form. The new regulations will be enforced by the "Clean Up the Pornographic, Strike the Illegal" body, which has already shut down tens of thousands of websites ago year.
