Chinese govt's crackdown on pornA crackdown on porn sites is inflicting a backlash among Chinese users and the online group. In October 2013, Chinese specialists busted four transnational child porn internet sites and arrested greater than 250 suspects. Over a better two months, they seized 180,000 online guides. In an effort to curb the proliferation of porn sites in China, the executive has focused its efforts on the biggest web homes. China's govt is wary of losing control of the information superhighway, highly with so many citizens expressing their discontent online. It also fears that the Internet could become a dangerous conduit for threatening ideas and photographs. While the govt has not yet described what pornography is, it says seven executive agencies are working in combination to freshen up web tradition and protect the healthy advancement of minors. The government is also increasing its reward for reporting porn. The reward for reporting porn content is now up to 600,000 yuan, more than double the present reward. Porn is unlawful in China in any form. The new rules may be enforced by the "Clean Up the Pornographic, Strike the Illegal" body, which has already shut down tens of thousands of websites in the past year.
