The ICM Registry has been making plans to launch the domain since February 2010. The thought was approved by ICANN, the private association that manages the Internet's top-level domains. Although the ICANN accepted the notion, the crowd has time and again rejected comparable proposals. It is unclear whether this could impact the existing content-based discrimination laws. Despite the opposition, the ICM Registry was not inclined to drag out of its assist. The group received over 6,000 proceedings towards the notion. It was also adversarial by conservative groups. The opposition to the brand new top-level domain was basically unanimous. The ICM Registry has said that it's going to work to ensure the safety of the Internet for its users. The new top-level domain was a result of a large acquisition by Minds and Machines, which owns four other top-level domains in the adult industry. This acquisition has caused a re-registration activity for the tip-level domain.
