She is an acclaimed and accomplished artist whose works were displayed in famend museums around the world. Abella has also penned numerous books on Jewish history and culture, which have been published in both English and French. She also is a freelance writer for both Canadian and American Jewish courses, along with her work featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, The Atlantic and other prominent newspapers and magazines. Her work is featured in the permanent collection of Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England; additionally she holds an affiliate membership to Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Canada. She is married to historian Irving Abella and has two sons. For 10 years, she served on Canada's Supreme Court of Justice; appointed in 2004, she retired from provider in 2021. Rosalie Silberman Abella was born on July 1, 1946 and performed an excellent feat for Canada's legal neighborhood by serving as the first Jewish woman judge on the Canadian Supreme Court in 2004. Prior to this appointment, she had served on both Ontario's Court of Appeal and Superior Court of Justice. 2.
