They argue that the recent law will curtail freedom of expression, and could ultimately limit access to child pornography. Japanese police investigations show that the variety of child pornography cases has increased regularly. In 2012, a record 1,016 child pornography cases were suggested, with a higher rate than the previous year. Of these cases, a majority of victims were high school and junior highschool scholars. There were also a small variety of sufferers among preschoolers.
