Many conservatives argue that the state should prohibit publishing and public exhibit of pornography. These arguments are according to the idea that the state should preserve the ethical health of its residents. They also imagine that an individual's wish to consume pornography is not an epiphenomenal symptom of other conditions. Liberals defend freedom of expression as a obligatory and constructive right.
