When money was tight, many Hollywood actors turned to pornography for a more consistent income. One of the 1st actors to interrupt into the adult industry was Traci Lords, who was 16 when she starred in her first porn movie, Penthouse. She also seemed in adult magazines and numerous other films. She was hailed as the "Princess of Porn" and earned over $1,000 a day. Eventually, she made the transition to mainstream acting, and has since been cast in a couple of films. Other actors who stepped out of the industry include Tracey Reeves, a two-time inductee in the AVN Hall of Fame. During the early 80s, she worked as a nude model before transitioning to an adult enjoyment career. Her appearances on Red Shoe Diaries weren't restricted to porn videos, but she did appear topless in one episode. A variety of famous actors have also made their way into mainstream television. One of them was the late Screech character in Saved By The Bell. After a few non-sexual roles, he branched out and starred in a couple of adult films.
