Pornography has been a hot topic for debate for a long time. The United States Supreme Court has ruled a few times that pornography is a violation of free speech. The feminist objection to pornography focuses on the role of pornography in the exploitation and oppression of ladies. Several feminists argue that pornography is fake advertising, and libelous speech. Others accept as true with that pornography has the knowledge to undermine women's capability to participate as full citizens in public realms. Many liberals accept that some pornography is dangerous. But they argue that pornography is simply a type of speech that can be prohibited, just as racial incendiary speech. Some conservatives argue that pornography is a form of obscenity and a corrosive force in conservative moral and cultural values. They argue that pornography is not only an affront to decent family values, but also an expression of men's sexual gratification. Other feminists argue that pornography subverts basic gender roles. By depicting women as gadgets of male sexual gratification, pornography violates the civil rights of ladies.
