The film also possesses a keen observant of American culture, and it makes for a compelling, pleasing, and engrossing film. Red Rocket is the newest film by director Sean Baker, who looks at the lives of low-class Americans from a new angle. Rex is a relative unknown, but his beauty, chops, and air of secrecy make him a perfect choice for this role. Though the film is low cost, it is exceedingly personality-driven and plausible. The premise of the film is that a washed-up porn star returns home, only a few decades after leaving his fatherland. His real life condition is equivalent to Mikey, but this film does not feel as "flashy. ""Red Rocket" embodies the notion of sexual liberation while embracing its darker elements. Baker has a history of exploring this issue via his films, but this film takes a more sensible method to it.
