While they do not share the conservatives' want to ban pornography, they do agree that the industry preys on prone populations, tremendously women. They also consider that pornography has the knowledge to undermine the equal civil rights of ladies. A number of liberals have proposed that the "harm precept" can be a basis for censorship. The precept is described commonly, but has to be supported by some reliable evidence of harm to other folks. It is not magnificent then, that many classic liberal defenders of pornography disagree about even if the principle has any real value. Their skepticism concerning the principle stems from a loss of evidence that pornography is dangerous. For them, the actual test of the precept is that it has the capabilities to restrict freedom of speech. On the other hand, some feminists argue that censorship is just a partial solution to the problems brought on by the pornography industry. Other critics of the concept argue that pornography only helps shape the social context, but does little to enhance the lives of victims.
