Self-censorship among artistsA recent case has shown self-censorship among artists of Japanese porn. Although the case did not result in any major arrests, the case has led to self-censorship among artists who produce pornography. Fortunately, this is not an isolated case. Many artists have adopted similar self-censorship ideas, as do publishers and people who make pornographic substances. The majority of pornography in Japan undergoes self-censorship. The primary systems used are digital mosaics and striking censor bars over genitalia. These artists try and keep their porn content as clean and unobscene as feasible while still sustaining knowledgeable image. While the censorship practices of Japanese artists were criticized, a few artists have remained unaffected. One such artist, Tai Kawabata, has reportedly bought a suspended sentence after censorship for his racy comics. In the Japanese press, censorship of porn is a controversial issue. The government has not robotically censor online content material, although a few information superhighway service services (ISPs) have agreed to censor child sexual abuse images.
