Nastolatka XXX

This is not the most interesting book, but it isn't a bad read. Ford does not shy away from the harsh realities of the porn industry. He examines films that celebrate bondage, lesbianism, and adultery. But Ford is a journalist, not a pornographer, so he does not come out for one side or the other. That's a clean change. Ford also takes a seriously look into the mob's involvement with early porn, as well as its role in discrediting European elites. His bankruptcy on the mob is strong. However, the "History" itself is poorly edited, jump-cut, and a bit opaque. There are too many references to sites and books. These could save researchers numerous time. While the book has a good premise, it isn't a thorough exam of the pornography industry.

  • In fact, it's been mentioned that porn buyers have higher levels of depressive symptoms and poor mental health. Porn is a sort of sexual novelty, which makes the brain free up dopamine. It also prompts mirror neurons, which are responsible for the feeling of sexual sex. The superior the stimulation, the more dopamine is released. And the higher the dopamine levels, the more likely a person will watch porn. Exposure to pornography increases the production of dopamine, which triggers the will for sex.
