Pornography is a hugely profitable international industry. The industry is created from a wide range of products including magazines, adult videos, Cable/Pay-per-view, Internet, and CD-Rom. In 2003 alone, the pornography industry generated US$34 billion in income, adding $8 billion in the U. S. alone. This is more than the mixed income of ABC, CBS, and NBC mixed. Some liberals are skeptical of censorship and are in favor of banning sure types of pornography. These liberals cite a loss of empirical evidence to aid the notion that pornography is harmful to girls. However, they don't consider banning pornography would actually solve the problem. On the other hand, liberals reject the 'scary' argument as a legitimate explanation for banning porn in deepest. In fact, the feminist case rests not on the 'frightening' principle but on the contribution to sexual inequality.
