The first major technological develop in photography, in the 1830s, made it feasible for the first photographs of nude women to be taken. These images were also sold by street dealers and tobacco shops, but they were still unlawful in lots of areas. Pornography has become more and more mainstream in recent decades, with the internet being a popular place to view pornography.
