Despite the acclaim for Japanese adult video entertainment, the industry is not widely well-known external of Japan. Japanese pornography is a mirrored image of Japanese culture and attitudes about sexuality. The genre aspects both heterosexual and gay characters as well as unique fetishes and paraphilias.
