Christine Fugate, the director of acclaimed films equivalent to "The Tobacco Wars," decided to check out the adult-film industry in her new documentary "The Girl Next Door. " Her documentary follows the early years of young porn star Stacy Valentine. Many people think that porn movies are violent and promiscuous. This isn't completely true. While these movies may be exciting and fun, they're not indicative of loneliness or a loss of sexual intercourse. They also are not solely aimed at men, as many of us consider. This is because these movies target both men and women, of all ages and sexual orientations. "The Pornographer" is not a pornographic film, but it is absolutely a darkly funny and idea-provoking movie concerning the porn industry. It does have a specific amount of sexual content, however the film also deals with the problem of desperation in the porn industry. Although Atchison's documentary style isn't best, the film's characters are credible and powerful. While the film isn't a good movie, it does raise some interesting questions about the industry.
