Feminism's objection to pornographyPornography is one of the most divisive issues in feminism. Some feminists condemn the industry while others aid it. It is critical to take note the arguments made by each side and to agree with how they could be supplemented. One argument is that pornography contributes to gender inequality. For instance, it is used to define women as sexual objects. This makes it possible for men to discriminate against and abuse women. At an analogous time, it eroticizes the act of sexual assault. The repeated exposure to pornography reinforces sexist attitudes. Another objection is that pornography dehumanizes women. By treating women as gadgets, it enslaves their minds and bodies. A woman's capability to withstand exploitation and combat patriarchy is impaired.
