It's one of Von Trier's most controversial films. This gallows humor is a welcome addition to Lars Von Trier's "Nymphmaniac. " This two-volume film is a grim study of sexual dependancy, but it's also laced liberally with hilarity. In particular, Uma Thurman's portrayal of Mrs. H adds a dash of squirmy cackles that make the movie feel hilarious and provocative. Originally intended to be a single film, "Nymphomaniac" is now divided into two parts. The fashioned task was intended to be one film, but von Trier decided to break the project up into two separate films. As a result, "Nymphomaniac" was divided into two parts, each with a unique storyline. The second half of the film elements a fictional personality, but it does not pretend to be a documentary. The film's plot is absurd. One of its most memorable scenes mocks cheap sci-fi films, and a train scene rewinds the film like a remote-control movie.
