He was convicted in 1988 of agreement killings for a number of New York area crime corporations. His victims were estimated to be between 100 and 250. This film follows him as he tries to hide up his crimes. He starts out with a minimum-wage job in film distribution and shortly moves on to a porn film outfit run by mobsters. However, after giving some lip to one of his owners, he is fired and rehired as a hitman. The film has been out for many years now. Michael Shannon plays the role of Kuklinski, a real-life hit man.
