While it may seem innocent at first, it is deeply complex. While Asian porn fetish is not new, it isn't necessarily approved by most of the people. The concept is still rooted in the premise of Asian women as "others," where they are viewed as lower than white women. For instance, in a documentary called Seeking Asian Female, a white male, 60 years old, finds a bride in China via a dating site. However, he doesn't clarify why he chose to marry a Chinese woman. Another aspect of Asian pornography is that Asian women are sometimes underrepresented in the widely wide-spread media and in the jobs of both perpetrators and sufferers. Asian pornography often reinforces this stereotype and can encourage violence towards Asian women. This fetishization of Asian men and women is a symptom of a larger cultural challenge. There are few Asian males in American tv shows and flicks that depict a more assorted group. Instead, Asian women are presented as submissive and passive to the white man. These stereotypes are a manufactured from Western imperialism and are a part of a larger sociocultural framework.
