These films include strong bloody violence and gory injury detail. There are scenes of a man being stabbed in the neck dissimilar times and a woman being shot with a shotgun. There are also scenes of rape and sexual assault, and the language is occasionally explicit. There also is an argument surrounding the MPAA's rating system. Some film critics feel that the board is biased and prone to favoring major studios. They have accused the MPAA of favoring violence and sexuality and being too hard on PG-13 films. While the MPAA has not yet banned the use of an X rating, the studios argued that a film with a X rating might be released regardless of its content. Ultimately, the MPAA dropped the X rating.
