Impact of Anime culture on Japanese Anime cultureIt is crucial to notice that the approval for anime in Japan is a fabricated from its country's strong cultural tradition. Japanese people are acknowledged as conservative and sexually repressed, and rarely discuss sex in public. These values are in direct distinction with the "hentai" anime subgenre, which depicts males and females in scantily clad clothes and often contains nude scenes and fight sequences. While child pornography is illegal in Japan, the tradition has spread through accepted anime. The approval for anime has spread globally since it began in the 1960s. Although the popularity of anime in the United States was at first limited, it simply skyrocketed in the 1980s. It has become synonymous with nerd tradition, which firstly carried a sinister connotation. During the late 80s, a Japanese man referred to as "Otaku Murderer" murdered four girls and was arrested after professionals found 5,000 video tapes in his home. While an incredible contribution to this poor perception is the stigma connected to anime, it should be noted that anime fans have also played a role during this. Some of the content in anime is taken into account degrading or maybe offensive to other cultures, but there are many purposes for this. Despite the fact that anime has the maximum repute among children, many adults might not remember the messages contained in these shows.
