Differences between Eastern and Western beliefsIn the past 120 years, Western fiction has been full of myths and stereotypes about Japanese women, from the exotic, maidenly innocence of the pre-modern era to the advanced femme fatale of the 1990s. Despite the advertisement success of such myths, the Japanese woman continues to be a fetish symbol in Western fiction. The origins of this Western view aren't absolutely clear. The rise of recent geographical regions and imperialism in the west were observed by the spread of western ideas about women's status. Charles Fourier (1772-1837) and other western thinkers drew upon the philosophies of these international locations to justify the cure of women as below human. Western and Chinese cultures are incredibly alternative, and this polarity manifests in the attitudes of men and women. Western culture promotes individualism, while Confucian collectivism puts women in a passive role in society. While men can pursue women in a romantic relationship, women should remain emotionally unattached. Western societies generally have lower levels of belief in God. In Central and Eastern Europe, classic religious practices are more common. While a majority of Europeans trust in God, many Eastern Europeans reject such beliefs.
