The authors examine the old and social basis of sexual stigma and how it applications in the context of porn intake. They argue that porn's recognition may contribute to a reduction of sexual stigma by giving clients the chance to hear porn performers speak freely. The belief of porn stigma may affect a client's dedication to deciding to buy porn. Although a minority of respondents cited lack of financial means as the basic reason for not paying for porn, many other factors contributed to not paying for porn: lack of expertise about businesses, loss of belief in the impact of consumer choice, and fear that porn agencies will appear on their bank remark. Porn may help reduce sexual stigma because xxx-rated videos and pictures demonstrate that fetishes are valid and not damaging. These videos also help reassure the viewer that their fetishes aren't remoted in the minds of other people.
