It's one of Von Trier's most debatable films. This gallows humor is a welcome boost to Lars Von Trier's "Nymphmaniac. " This two-volume film is a grim study of sexual addiction, but additionally it is laced liberally with hilarity. In particular, Uma Thurman's portrayal of Mrs. H adds a dash of squirmy cackles that make the movie feel hilarious and provocative. Originally intended to be a single film, "Nymphomaniac" is now divided into two parts. The unique assignment was imagined to be one film, but von Trier determined to break the assignment up into two separate films. As a result, "Nymphomaniac" was divided into two parts, each with a unique storyline. The second half of the film facets a fictional personality, but it does not faux to be a documentary. The film's plot is absurd. One of its most memorable scenes mocks cheap sci-fi films, and a train scene rewinds the film like a remote-control movie.
