She was born in Los Angeles to Yolanda Hadid (nee Van den Herik) and Mohamed Hadid. Her mother is of Dutch heritage while her father hails from Palestine. At just two years old, Gigi was found out by Paul Marciano of Baby Guess and started modeling. Subsequently signed to IMG Models, she has seemed in distinct shows for esteemed trend designers similar to Tom Ford, Moschino, Chanel, Anna Sui and Fendi.
