Along the style, he meets many appealing characters, akin to Vincent Valentine - a former Turk who has become knowledgeable at transmuting into monstrous forms. Although capable of speak little, Vincent gives positive advice when it involves combat and assisting his team pop out victorious. Sephiroth, an historical, successful character who joins the party briefly during a single series, also joins them. He holds a secret that only he can reveal and wields a big sword that could only be wielded by Shinra; even if he was said to have vanished years ago, he reappears in flashback sequences to testify of loyalty towards Shinra. Final Fantasy VII contains a wide range of references from mythology and folklore, to faith and ordinary tradition.
